Abstract

There having been established in a previous publication the criteria which guide the designing of a system of simulation, in this work is presented the carrying out, in our Department, of a versatile installation, of a modular type which allows, in its whole, to carry out a large part of the experiments of alteration referred to in the bibliography and others, of a dijferent nature and more complex, which may be programmed. There are presented the solutions adopted for the air conditioning (drying and purifying), the simulation of the atmosphere (temperature, humidity, radiation, condensations, rain, saline mists and concentrations of SO2, FH, NO2, C3H6, etc., as likewise secondary contaminations), the area of exposition of the samples and the installation of sampling in order to follow the conditions simulated. The possibility may be emphasized, rarely encountered in other systems, of evaluating sinergetic effects of different variables and of simulating the generation of secondary pollutants. Apart from the description of the particular solutions, the work gathers a methodology to comprise the designing of each of the systems of the installation which, because of its general character, is of special interest.
