Dear friends:
This year 2023 will be the first year in which the entire management of the journal will be done through OJS. These past months have confirmed that the system is very satisfactory. We have had problems and errors, but we have been solving them and I am sure that everything will be easier during this new year.
I also would like to announce changes in the Editorial Team of the journal. From 2023, the Editorial Board, composed of renowned international scientists, will disappear as part of the editorial policy of the CSIC, remaining only the Assistant Editors who are the core of the scientific advisors of the journal.
Throughout these years, the Editorial Board has included great names in the science of building materials and I would like to emphasise what a privilege it has been to be able to count on their experience and knowledge of the materials area, their help and their disinterested collaboration. Thank you very much to all of you for supporting our journal and helping to make it better.
Among the Assistant Editors, there have also been changes. Some of them have left us to introduce new scientific values, but all of them know how grateful I am to them and how much I appreciate them. I would not manage this journal without the support that the Assistant Editors have given me.
From the public eye, it may seem that this professional relationship is just that, but in reality we have succeeded not only in working together but also in becoming friends, and working under these conditions is a real pleasure.
