To clarify this two portland cements P-1 (14.11% C<sub>3</sub>A) and P-31 (7.62% C<sub>3</sub>), all it industriéis, were tested and a pozzolanic cement PUZ-8, by the ASTM C 452-68 method, but using gypsum, CaSO<sub>4</sub>. 2 H<sub>2</sub>O, with aggressive contents of 5.0%, 7.0%, 10.0%, 12.0% and 14.0% SO<sub>3</sub>, respectiverly. The determined parameters in the correspondent specimens, in this part IA, were ΔL (%) and [ΔL (%)/g. cement]. This first part IA contains the experimental results obtained mainly and the corresponding discussion.
