Solid state synthesis associated to X-ray diffraction and free lime analysis have been carried out to determine proper conditions (chemical compositions, optimum time and temperature of burning) under which phosphatic belitic clinker is elaborated. Raw meals, at low lime saturation factor and added phosphate, can form a clinker with high contents of α’L-C2S modification. Microcalorimetric measurements show a relative high hydraulic activity of this belite form. The phosphatic clinker exhibits a closeness hydration behaviour to the ordinary portland clinker.
