This paper describes the chemical and mineralogical characteristics which must show the blas-furnace slags to be used in cement manufacture or to be added to concrete. There are also shown technical and economical details concerning manufacture and use of blast-furnace slag cements. Methods to control the quality of slags and to determine their content in cements are mentioned and described as well.
