El efecto nocivo de la mica depende tanto de la cantidad como del tamaño de las laminillas. Para fracciones gruesas, una adición de un 1% disminuye ya la resistencia del mortero; para la fracción más fina una adicción del 3% no actúa desfavorablemente, pero si una adición de 5%.
