La finalidad de las investigaciones era la preparación de un hormigón de alta calidad, con empleo de árido lo más grueso posible (lo que determina una economía en el consumo de cemento), y con una relación agua cemento lo más bajo posible, presentando, al mismo tiempo, la máxima docilidad y movilidad.
